The Neopets
UX/UI Redesign
Neopets was once an immensely popular online game, boasting over 25 million users by 2004. However, it has since struggled to adapt to changing technology and user demographics, resulting in a significant drop in its userbase.
As a longtime lover of the game, I decided to conduct user research through interviews with current users, open feedback surveys, and demographic research. I uncovered multiple glaring UX pain points— an outdated messaging system, confusing navigation, tedious inventory system, and more. In this project, I redesigned these key areas of the game.
You can find images of the final designs here, but if you’d like to see a detailed case study, get in touch!
